The Associative VCMX is a quadruple VCA specialized for polyphonic and multitimbral systems, featuring high-quality manufacturing and endless encoders for smooth per-channel and group operation. Its associative architecture allows grouping any combination of channels to define polyphonic configurations of up to 4 voices, with all parameters applied simultaneously across the group.
Each channel integrates fully configurable CV processing with independent control of offset, gain, and response linearity — continuously variable from exponential to logarithmic. Two built-in envelope followers (A and B) with six configurable parameters provide real-time signal tracking with full modulation support per channel. The BEOZ (Begin and End of Zone) system generates trigger or gate events based on the position of any selected signal within a user-defined voltage zone.
Per-Channel VCA Capabilities:
- CV input offset adjustment: -10V to +10V
- CV input gain adjustment: 0 to 100%
- CV response linearity: continuously variable from 100% Exponential to 100% Logarithmic
- Independent modulation input for offset, gain, and linearity with dedicated attenuverters
- Mixer mode: independent gain factor per channel without affecting VCA parameters
Envelope Follower (A & B per channel):
- Configurable rise and fall response speeds
- Output offset: -5V to +10V
- Output amplitude: 0 to ×2 of the resulting envelope
- Envelope output inversion
- Output delay: 0 to 1 second
- Selectable source signal: signal input, signal output, CV input, processed CV, or modulation input
- Modulation inputs for rise, fall, and delay parameters
- Enable/disable output independently without affecting configuration
BEOZ (Begin and End of Zone):
- User-definable activation zone by offset and range: -5V to +10V
- Direct or inverse zone definition
- Selectable output mode: Trigger (2ms pulse) or Gate
- Selectable source signal: signal input, signal output, CV input, or processed CV input
User Interface:
- Channel association and grouping for polyphonic configurations up to 4 voices
- Independent mute button per channel for quick-access silencing without affecting any parameter
- Real-time LED bar visualization with simultaneous monitor and parameter overlay
